Welcome to the Summer Solstice! This copper colored ale is smooth, malty, and lightly sweet, with a delicate hint of spice for that oh-so-drinkable, extra velvety flavor. The character is lighter in body than its cousin, our wildly popular Winter Solstice Seasonal Ale . This is a silky, creamy dream, perfect as a warm weather beer. But why call it Cerveza Crema? Two reasons: One, this beer has become a favorite among many of our Hispanic friends, so it’s named in their honor. Two, it sounds cool, and cool is what you want when its hot. Serve at 40 to 45 degrees Fahrenheit for the most optimal flavor and enjoyment. ¡Salud!
As with all of our products, Summer Solstice Seasonal Ale is never sterile filtered nor heat pasteurized, and should be stored in refrigeration. However, to fully enjoy its rich and complex flavor, it should be served between 40° and 45°F

So I’m sitting here, drinking a Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale. My son walks in with this Summer Solstice beer and says I need to have a taste. OK. Wow, amazing flavor. I usually like HOPPY beers but this is a new experience. Great nose and wonderful mouth feel as well as flavor. Great new beers here in Virginia. Keep ‘em coming.

I first tried this beer at Hops in Humboldt over the summer, and this was the best beer I had while I was at this event. There was a lot to chose from and this is still the best! Great beer! I can’t wait to find it in the stores!

Discovered this beer in Portland, OR a few years ago and still to this day I haven’t found a better tasting beer!

Ohhhhhhhhhh dammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmn! I had this at Glass Nickel for the first time on tap earlier this summer and was very impressed with it. I’m currently brewing a homebrew clone of it as I type this. Keep up the good work!

We pretty much buy IPAs (mmm…hops are yummy) and seasonal beers. In summer, we enjoy hefeweizens, Bell’s Oberon Ale, and New Glarus Totally Naked. I was looking for something new-to-us at the grocery store and bought your Summer Solstice. Excellent! It’s unique from other summer seasonals, darker color and more complex flavor yet not heavy, and still very summery on the palate.

Being in NJ you don’t see a lot of AVB beers, in fact had not seen any to this past weekend when I picked up a 6 of Summer Solstice. From the pour the beer blew me away. I was expecting the same old yellow to pale yellow color most other summer brews have but I got a darker coppery color. It had a unique and wonderful aroma to it and when I took a sip my mouth was very happy. A great caremel taste, smooth and velvety going down. Easily one of my favorite beers and it worked well on a very hot day. I will be buying out the store where I found it this weekend. I will be looking for other AVB beers to reach my area too.

Man, this is the tastiest brew I’ve tasted in awhile. A++. Been on the Summer Ale kick lately (aka Sammy Adams Summer Ale, ect.), but have to say this one goes to the top of the list. So glad my local liquor store decided to carry you fine gents’ creations ( Rose Drive Mkt. in Benicia ). It’s my first experience with AVBC, so expect a boost in your revenue! :) Can’t wait to sample all the rest!

Just tried this brew for the first time on tap the other evening. I enjoy tryin new brews and this one has won me over!! Delish!! We attended a Beer Fest last night in Boston and tried your “Summer Solstice” for the first time. It was our favorite flavor at the fest! I can’t wait to see if our local package store carries your brand!

I will make this quick. Summer started for me as soon as I saw that Summer Solstice was for sale at my local supermarket.
Even though I have to wait until the 21st of June to consecrate my love for summer, your Cerveza Crema reminds me that life if nothing but light, relaxed, and uncomplicated.

I first tried Anderson Valley Summer Solstice at Yardhouse in Irvine. I was hooked. After drinking Newcastle for so long this is like the first time you tried Coca Cola as a child. It’s that good. Much better served as suggested, but a welcome change to just about any beer you’ve been drinking.

When I made my roommates try it, one of them said that it tasted like Willy Wonka’s Three-Course-Dinner chewing gum. In a good way. Does that make sense?

Recently we visited Anderson Valley Brewing Company and enjoyed tasting many new beers to us. I enjoy beer in the summer time and this has got to be the best new brew that I have tried and we have alot in the Northwest. Thank you for the new beer and we would like to thank you for you recent hospitality.

Recently went to a BrewFest in Vacaville and tried the Summer Solstice for the first time! It was great!! Actually worth giving the wooden nickel for even though you only get 8 to sample 50+ beers. All of my friends voted it was the best of the fest! Please tell me where I can buy some in Sacramento, CA.

Oh My! That’s the smoothest beer I’ve ever had! It’s velvet in fermented form. Fabulous! The Cerveza Crema hit the shelves at Shangy’s yesterday, and was tickling my palate less than 24 hrs later. Mmmm, Mmmm, Good. I’ll tell all my friends to pick some up before it runs out. The Winter Solstice has been my favorite winter beer since I tried it a few years ago, and now I have a new favorite summer beer!

WOW! this was my expression when my friend drove all the way from Mendocino to Santa Barbara (500 Miles) to my party with a keg of Summer Solstice from the brewery. Just when I though winter solstice was the best beer ive ever tasted, Summer Solstice bursts on the scene. Very smooth and sweet and doesent fill you up. You’ve outdone yourselves once again. :D

I have recently tried this summer brew and was thoroughly impressed. The steady, creamy head was accompanied by a rich full body and bright copper color. My palate was treated to the smooth refreshing flavors of tangy wheat and fruity tones. I can think of no other beer I want in my hand whether I’m at the beach or finishing up yard work. Wherever your day takes you, it should wind down with a Summer Solstice.

I just picked this up from a specialty wine shop in town and I must say I am glad I did. It is delicious! Its light and creamy and leaves a slight caramel sweetness on my tongue. I have found the perfect summer beer. I can’t wait to try your other beers. Thanks and keep up the good brewin’!

Holy Cannoli! I was not too sure what I was getting myself into when I grabbed a six-pack of the Summer Solstice Cerveza Crema, and I am glad I took the risk. What a pleasant surprise. This beer has outstanding taste without feeling like I was drinking a malternative. Sweet, without being cloying, with a fantastic mouth feel! I know what I will be bringing to this years 4th of July Party!

BEST BEER TO DATE! While strolling through my local beer depot I came across this interesting sounding beer. Creveza Crema? I thought to my self, cream? Who dosen’t like a creamy beer! What a beer!! Right from the get go the beer was like, lets say cream. One of my favs of all time. Since I cant be in California, I have the Creveza Crema here standing on the burning shores of Lake Michigan. Great Beer.

I recently tasted Summer Solstice Cerveza Crema for the first time at the North American Beer Awards (NABA) competition at the Mountain Brewers Beer Fest in Idaho Falls, Idaho. I was a judge (BJCP) at the NABA competition and tasted over 150 different beers during 2 ½ days of judging. Summer Solstice was one of 2 or 3 beers during the competition that truly pleased my pallet and caused me to save the sample for further study. My wife was a steward at the competition so I asked her to find the name of beer number 111, but of course she couldn’t tell me the name until the judging was completed. My wife also enjoyed the smooth rich flavor of Summer Solstice, so we found it stocked at a local beer and wine specialty shop, and now keep a few bottles in our refrigerator. My compliments to the brewmaster!

As a 23 year-old beer connoisseur, the Summer Solstice Cerveza Crema has changed my beer preferences which will have a long-standing effect. When I am old and grey, my children’s children will be drinking this beer.

I just tried this beer at the Oregon Brew Fest in Portland, and this was by far the best beer there. This is my new favorite beer, which is tough, because I don’t think i can get a hold of it up in Canada. Guess I’m going to be heading down south a little more often now. Thanks for such a delightful beer!

WOW is my comment every time I take a sip from a new bottle of Summer Solstice. I keep wondering if this beer can continue to amaze, then I open up another and WOW comes from my lips. I can’t help it. I love it. And I thought I would never like a sweet beer. My new 2nd favorite right after Hop Ottin. Thank you and keep up the good work.

This is hands down the best beer I have ever tried – ever. My friends and I drink nothing else when it comes to beer. We will always buy it by the case, when possible, and we have even been known to wipe out a Supermarket’s entire stock. We have also made it our personal missions to try and convert people one person at a time. It has been pretty easy so far. People think they have an idea of what their favorite beer is, but when they taste that sweet, creamy, euphoric Summer Solstice Ale, there is no turning back. The only down side is that it is offered in special release so it cannot be purchased year round. I know summer can’t last forever, but we are begging you, can you please make it atleast feel like summer by making it available all year round? Your Loyal Customer Adam Robins

We discovered Summer Solstice in a wonderful restaurant in Mesa, Az. The restaurant is called RED WHITE & BREW. We went searching for it and found it at an A J’s, which is a specialty food market. We purchased the last case they had, as the summer was coming to an end. We look forward to tasting your Winter Solstice. We grew up in Milwaukee, WI, which of course, was known as beer country, so we have always enjoyed beers. We liked the Spring season, when they came out with the dark heavier beers and ales. That’s one of the reasons we were so taken with Summer Solstice. We will now begin our search for Winter Solstice, and I’m sure we’ll be as delighted with that brew, as we were with the Summer version.

The other night I tried the Winter Soltice. Fabulous! Flavor is quite complex. with the taste of hops without the nasty hop burn (for a big time beer guy, I’m no hophead). Major congrats for some excellent beers and for getting a hardened Californiphobe to acknowledge the fact. Cheers!

i remember when i first tried AVBC’s summer solstice last summer, 2005, on the way back from a camping trip at the Hendy Woods camping sight on the west side of Anderson Valley. We were all tired and thirsty and just had a blast at the brewery. everyone was very kind and i loved the tie-dye shirt that i got as a gift. all in all, a great experience, a great brewery, and a great place on earth!

I was blown away by this beer. I’ve experienced hundreds of great beers(micro, belgian, german, etc.)I love from hoppy to wheat, but this was one of the most refreshing and drinkable I’ve had in some time. My regards and respect to those responsible for this delight.

I just discovered Summer Solstice (or The ‘Stice, as my boyfriend and I now call it) a week ago and I have gone back to the one restaurant that carries it 3 times to have more. Put another way, I’m not the kind of person who Googles a beer to find out where she can buy it, but here I am leaving a comment on your site. Amazing. Now let’s get to work on that bottle distribution!
