"Just outstanding! I just wish I could find it in South Carolina."
Rick Montoney - Greeville, SC
"Every Friday I reward myself, for successes and hard work, with one carefully chosen beer. Our local
store carries over 200 varieties, so I have slowly toured the world's best beers of all varieties. But a
really good week in a very good month deserves Barney Flats, the best of the world's best."
Lee Fuller - Fullerton, CA
"WOW; rich, creamy and sweet describe my first experience with this oatmeal stout. I have been
to europe and have brewed some of my own and this one surely tops all of them!"
Dave Kareemo - North Kingstown, R.I.
"Hot Damn, Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout is one of, if not the best stouts in this free country. It's hard to obtain
where I live, and so when I see it stocked, I buy all i can.
2-3-4 of these will do you right...
Good stuff,
rob"

"I have been drinking dark beer for 59 years. This is the best tasting stout I've ever
had!!!!! Better than Guiness and all the rest. California to Kentucky..Wow..I will continue to buy
it."
VINCE ZIEGLER M.D. - Louisville, KY
"This one of the two finest Oatmeal Stouts that I have tasted in my pursuit of great brews. The wife and I
look forward to visiting you brewery this summer. This brew goes great with Greek food such as feta cheese,
kalmata olives, and tzatziki to name a few items that are hard to pair with most drinks. Thanks for giving us
this great brew!"
Manfred Stever - Hemet, CA
" nothing like a true one of a kind. in my book it deserves a truckload of gold medals
keep up the great work and never change a thing"
Eric Smerdell - warren, oh
"I hate beer -- can't stand drinking it, in fact -- yet I love your Oatmeal Stout. I don't know if
that's considered good or bad for you, but your product tastes so marvelous, I wonder what in the heck the
other guys are making."
Greg Raven - Costa Mesa, CA
"Your suggestion to serve this beer at 40 to 45 degrees is much too cold....your stouts and ales need to be served warmer
so every delicious flavor is allowed to come through. PS. The average saloon serves the beer much too
cold. I'm sure the Miller Lite kegs are stored in the same cooler as the Barney Flats...so I order mine
and I warm it with my hands around the glass for 5 minutes...it's worth the wait."
Gary Dunn - Cedar Grove, wi
"WOW! I had to rush to the computer after sampling this fantastic brew! As a member of beeradvocate.com, I'm
contstantly trying new beers- and so far Anderson Valley has not disappinted! Thank you for brewing such
wonderful beers!
Here is my beeradvocate.com review:
I paid $1.69 for a 12-oz single.
Holy smokes! I was away from the computer when I reviewed this beer on paper. I couldn't wait to get back here
and post this one!
Black- inch of fluffy, creamy looking brown head. Light, only when held up to a VERY high wattage bulb, will
trickle through here. One gorgeous brew.
Sweet chocolate scent.
WOW! Just about knocks me on my ass it's so good! Perfectly balanced. Cold coffee-- the best (THE BEST, I say)
cold coffee I've had- slight hints of chocolate and winter fruits linger within... wow.
VERY smooth and creamy- a dream come true!
OUTSTANDING beer. I wish I would have picked up more than a single... well, this beer alone is enough to make me
go to the beer store tomorrow =)

"I have traveled all over The United States and western Europe and and have found NO beer
that compares to the taste of AVBC! My friends and I have to drive 30 miles into Maryland (on a
regular 3 times a week) to buy Barney Flat's, or the India Pale Ale. It is well worth the
drive for the best tasting beer in the World. We have found a bar in Cumberland, MD called
Ed's Canal Pub that serves it cold. THANX YOU !!!!!!!!!"
Jeremy Smith - Keyser, WV
"Roasted malt dominates but not overwhelms Barney Flats, followed by an ensemble of malt,
hop, and subtle sour mash flavor, with no "yeast-bite." The finish suggests dry hopping.
Excellent balance; it avoids the excess maltiness, sweetness, and alcohol content of all too
many West Coast stouts."
Martin Tousignant - Herndon, VA
"You talk so much about how clean your brews are that I want to tell you as
I sit here in front of the PC I am sipping on a
Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout, and as amazed that I am of the purity of taste and
clearness of flavor that we know you are in heaven brewing these fine ales, or
close to it! Thank you so much for your caring that you keep it simple but brew it
with care."
Phillip Hight - Bakersfield, CA
"I found a place that sells it for 7 bucks a 6-pack. It's the only beer I buy anymore. Why
settle for less? It's the best beer I've ever had. Thanks......Roger"
Roger Quinn - Atascadero, CA
"Definitely one of my favorites. I love watching people's reaction when I give
them one for a try. Their faces just light up with pleasure. It up there with
Anchor's Christmas and New Years Ale. Keep it coming!! "
Lars Gilstrom - Woodland, CA
"i'm not sure if this is appropriate for a website, but i would like to let you know that the
barney is so good (well, it is always good) after love-making (to be polite). "
danielle - corvallis, or
"Greetings from the Nation's Capital! I just wanted to let you all know that you have a lot of fans in Washington, DC. I've
been working at the Brickskeller now for 2 years and we are proud to recommend your beers when we are asked for
suggestions. Personally I love the Barney Flats Oatlmeal Stout but the Boont Amber is truly a house favorite...we simply
cannot keep enough of it in stock. Keep up the good work!
Cheers and Beers!"
Michael Hughes - Washington, DDC

"Since I
am a homebrewer, and constantly trying to
"perfect" my oatmeal stout recipe. I decided
to give your OS a try. It is excellent and
has inspired me to add more hoppiness to my
brews in the future. Thank you for your time and your wonderful concoction! "
Frank Garcia - Duluth, MN
"you guys brew the most awsome beer
in the world. even now, i am sitting here,
sipping an oatmeal stout, my favorite beer.
most other chef's i know (i'm a chef) choose
wine over beer, but i would choose one of
your beers over a glass of wine anyday. keep
up the great work."
Lena - Wherebouts Unknown
