Exceptionally Great; something special
Celebrator Beer News Blind Tasting Panel – Oct. / Nov 2004
The abundant hopping in this four-time gold medal winner, creates arousing aromatics, accompanied by a pleasantly bitter bite. Boont Extra Special Beer is deep gold in color, with a spicy hop aroma. Starts with a big, malty backbone and finishes with a refreshingly bitter bite. Boont Extra Special Beer is excellent alone or as an accompaniment to your favorite well-seasoned meals (such as Mexican, Korean, Chinese, Indian, or Thai, cuisine).
Boont ESB was named the Regional Champion in the 2003 US Beer Tasting Championships, in the Bitter/ESB category, has won two Gold Medals at the Great American Beer Festival, and has several other medals, as well. Click here to see the entire list.
As with all of our products, Boont ESB is never sterile filtered nor heat pasteurized, and should be stored in refrigeration. However, to fully enjoy its rich and complex flavor, it should be served between 40° and 45°F

My favorite pub, here on the East Coast, had one keg of this brew. It’s fantastic!! I can’t wait to try more, even if it means flying out west to do so.

This is perhaps my favorite of all time. I even use it in a couple recipes and it MAKES the recipe!
Hands down one of the most impressive craft beers I have ever had the pleasure to discover.
Thanks and keep up the AMAZING work!!!!

I visit your brewery in Janurary 1997, and up until this day I have never had a better beer than your Belk’s ESB! Thanks.

I just wanted to congratulate you on your outstanding ESB. I have sampled the style far and wide and yours has the finest blend of malts with a very assertive hoppiness. Good work out of you.

Hello! As a transplanted Brit, I have a passion for great Bitter. Having tasted Belks, that thirst has been quenched!! Fantastic beer!! Bravo! Cheers.

First off, let me say thank you, your ESB is the finest I’ve tasted , and I’ve tasted them all (well I’ve tryed at least 50 ESB’s). I’m a dedicated Bitter drinker, it’s what I like, I desire a full taste in my beer, not too strong, not too sweet, just nice and full. I’ve had bitter from 11 different countries, countless varieties from each, but lo and behold I’ve found the perfect bitter right here at home in BELK’s ESB . For me it’s PERFECTION. My quest is over, now all I need do is sit back and enjoy . Again my sincere thanks ..

Hey Guys, just wanted to let you know I really loved your ESB. I pasted the contents of a review I entered on http://www.beeradvocate.com to let you know what I thought: “This is the last pair of a “sampler” case of ESB’s and Pale Ales that I bought in PA (12 different brews in one). Every one was good, but I am glad I saved this one to the last. I really, really think this was the best of the bunch. I can’t wait to try some of your other offerings as soon as I can find them in the DE-PA area. Thanks, Greg

Belk’s is absolutely a classic bitter ale! Plenty of lively, robust flavor and the perfect degree of bitter.

As a transplanted Brit living in Califronia…I have been in search of the perfect pint!! That in my opinion would be a glass of English styled Bitter produced locally (Fresh…) Your ESB meets the task full on./..It has a great mouth feel to it…Perfectly hopped and very well balanced…It is definitely a very quaffable brew!! I would love to try this on Cask chaps…Any chance? Keep up the terrific work. Cheers..

Hi – love your beers (all of them, but especially Belk’s and Hop Ottin’). I just added a link to the Belk’s ESB page from my radio station’s website, http://www.radiohidebound.com, and I’d love to get a little graphic of the Belk’s bottle for the link. If you have one lying around, could you maybe send it to me? thanks so much. cheers. kah
