Boont Amber Ale won the Silver Medal at the 2003 Great American Beer Festival, in the American-Style Amber/Red Ale category, has several other medals, as well, and was named the “best beer brewed in Northern California,” by the San Francisco Bay Guardian.
Boont Amber Ale is a medium bodied pale ale with a beautiful copper color, a robust head, and the rich flavor of caramel malt. This very smooth and exceptionally drinkable beer is excellent with steaks, chicken, pasta, and other flavorful meals.
As with all of our products, Boont Amber Ale is never sterile filtered nor heat pasteurized, and should be stored in refrigeration. However, to fully enjoy its rich and complex flavor, it should be served between 40° and 45°F

I was visiting my son and his girlfriend when I first had Boont Amber and wanted to bring some back to SC with me and it wasn’t being sole anymore.From my understanding its only sold around nov. dec. but Id like to know if I can order this by the case online and have it delivered to me when its being sold this year. I LOVE THIS BEER!!! ABSOLUTLEY DELICIOUS!! please reply and tell me where to go and how to make this happen!!!! THANK U SOOOO MUCH!!

I live in Los Angeles,and was at the Thursday night farmers market.I went to eat at this restaurant called,”The Firefly”.They offer your beer their.I’d never had it before,and took a liking immediately.Your amber ale is now in my refrigerator tonight,thanks to Trader Joes supplying it.I recently lost my job after 10 years,and have time now to travel.I would love to visit your brewery hopefully soon.Thanks

i was shopping in trader joe’s and happened to come across the beer section, i have never heard of this beer before, I am so glad i chose this one! It is the perfect beer! I dont know why i have neve seen it in bars or the local markets? thang god for trader joe’s!!

I don’t know how you made it, but it’s perfection in a bottle. I got a chance to try this on tap in Costa Mesa, CA and I consider myself a very lucky individual for the privilege. It’s replaced my top beer for the last 3 years running and I’m convinced it’s not going anywhere.

Tried Boont amber ale on a whim at a pub recently and it blew me away! I was expecting an overly-hoppy brew but was greeted with a well-rounded taste explosion in a glass. Thanks for the beer! A new favorite

I’m an avid homebrewer and have been a beer nut since the 1970’s. I consider Anderson valley Brewing and Highlands Brewing in Asheville, NC as the “best” breweries in the US. It is my opinion that Boont Amber is one of the “best beers in the world”. I just wish it was easier to find here in the south east.

I just picked up a 6-pk of Boont from our nearby state liquor store in Salt Lake City. Not only was I blown away that your brewery is solar-powered (so is my home/business). It’s one of the best ambers I’ve ever tasted. Thanks and Happy Holidays from a new customer in beautiful Utah!

I consider myself to know a thing or two about good beer despite my young age, having worked for multiple purveyors of fine beer/wine/spirits. I would always recommend Boont Beers, and the Amber in particular. Theres never been a complaint, only a customer soon coming back for another 6er. Great, and REAL, beer.

I’ve been brewing beer for some 30+ years and tasting beers for longer than that – all the way from Germany, France, England, Scotland, Wales, Channel Islands, various countries in Asia (includes SE Asia) all over N. America and Mexico and can say with some authority that this is one of the best, if not THE best, Amber ever I have tasted. If you haven’t had one yet don’t deprive yourself any longer – run to your nearest beer shop and get one – it they don’t have it demand that they get some – convince them it’ll be their best seller once its been tasted.

My drinking career started in Portland,OR at the age of 17. I also worked for a Brewery for 2 years. When I moved to SF in 1997. I’ve got to say that Boont Amber is the best beer in the entire California region. Perfection.
In my opinion though the best breweries overall in CA would be Lost Coast in Eureka and AVBC.

After growing up in the south and knowing only corporate beer, moving to the northwest and discovering microbrews was an awakening. Discovering Boont was a by-damn epiphany! When Ben Franklin said beer proves that God wants us to be happy, he wasn’t talking about Bud, knowhutimean?
Boont Amber Ale makes God happy.

I bought this beer for a friend of mine. I bought it for label. The label had meaning for me. I once had a dream where I was watching a basketball game on TV, the Spud Web had the ball, dribbling, does a fade away shot, but it get’s caught by Kareem Abdul Jabbar’s “Antlers”, The ball stuck right in his antlers. I thought (in my dream), Wow, when did he grow those ? Great dream, I somehow had the shorted NBA player, against the tallest, and I gave the tallest player antlers.
So…. when I say this beer, I thought, oh yeah, this is perfect. Gave some to my buddy and he saw the tab “Solar powered” , how cool is that.
And that first sip….. oh yeah. Life is good.

i can’t believe how good this boont amber ale is. i had the great fortune of finding it at my local trader joe’s here in west los angeles. i’m a first timer, but already a convinced loyal fan. thanks for taking the time to make such a great product.

The most outstanding beer I’ve ever tasted. Something about it keeps me buying it again and again. If I could only have one beer in my life it would be Boont. The first bar in my neighborhood that puts it on tap gets my regular business.

I dont find it easy to drink beer and drink little. My wife hates the stuff. Well, we both had your Boont Amber beer and she loved it and I found no problem drinking it aside from the fact it was great.

One of the world’s greatest beers. Once you drink Boont, you won’t ever bother with a mass manufactured beer again. And though there are many other great American amber beers, Boont stands just above the rest. I’m serving it at my wedding. Nuff Said.

Greetings from the Nation’s Capital! I just wanted to let you all know that you have a lot of fans in Washington, DC. I’ve been working at the Brickskeller now for 2 years and we are proud to recommend your beers when we are asked for suggestions. It has the rich, full body of a Guiness, the crisp refreshment of a Bass and slightest hint of Grolsch-like bitterness. But what truly sets your brew apart and above all others is its silky smooth finish. You both deserve the Nobel Prize.

I had the Boont Amber at a restaurant last night and loved it! I’m a beer lover and am usually partial to German beers, but I think Boont Amber ranks in the top five beers I’ve ever tasted. This morning I decided to find the website so I could see if there was a store here in North Carolina that carries it – I would love to be able to buy Boont Amber on a regular basis. I just thought I’d write a little note to let you guys know how much I enjoyed your beer!

I would just like to say that I think Boont Amber Ale is the best beer ever. No get-together or party is complete without Boont. I am constantly restocking it in my fridge since my friends are always drinking all of my bottles. Keep up the good work, send me a free keg.

I first tried the Boont Amber at the Yardhouse while living in Orange County…of the 200 beers on tap, it was the one I kept coming back to, and spreading around to others. It stands as my top choice among all beers, and I’m overjoyed that I finally found a liquor store in Indianapolis that sells it.

I love this beer! I usually drink Sierra Nevada Amber Ale, but I find this much smoother. I have also found that Sierra Nevada for some reason gives me a headache the next day (even if I just have 1), and this beer doesn’t.

I was introduced to Boont Amber by a waiter who recommended it at a restaurant in Madison, Wi. I was thrilled to find it available at my favorite grocery store in Washington. It is, by far, the finest beer I have ever tasted, and I have tasted many micro and craft beers. Great job.

When I moved out to New York City, I left an integral piece of me back home in California- Boont Amber Ale. Now that I posess a broader perspective of transcontinental beer consumption, I’ve finally realized just how spoiled I was back home in Northern California, and how much I took for granted the abundance of world class beers at my disposal. Most of all, though, I miss the satisfying stream of cold Boont Amber Ale cascading onto my tongue during those hot Nor Cal summertime afternoons, giving pleasure to my tastebuds and happiness to my beer palate. The richness of its robust flavor cannot be rivaled by any American brewery, or, in my and many others’ opinion, anywhere else in the entire international brewing community. Thank you for a great beer and great memories. As a matter of fact, I’m just about to drive to Milburn, NJ to pick some up!

So, after all the waiting, Sacramentans finally got their hands on Fat Tire… oh boy. Anyhow, I write to tell you that I turned many a customer your way. Simply stating to these customers that your Boont amber is a far superior brew, not to mention a local California product. I got a tremendous response, by returning customers, that I (the beerman) was right. They were all left wondering what all the hype was about with that Colorado brew, and had change their tune to calling it Flat Tire. Keep up the great work. -Aaron

A couple of years ago I discovered Boont Amber while trying out several beers I hadn’t tried before. It was the perfect mixture of full body, hoppy aroma and flavor, and just the right bitterness. It was love at first sip. I bought all that I could get. Unfortunately I have been unable to find it in any of the stores around Kansas City. I will continue my quest. If I cannot find Boont Amber in the midwest a vacation in northern California may be in order. Congratulations on producing a fine specimen of what an ale should be. Absolutely a top ten of all time beer!

I wanted to say Thank You to everyone at AVBC. Recently we moved from Boston, where we were recurring customers at a pub out there (Sunset Grill) only because they stocked Boont Amber, which was so hard to find back East. I had never had such a great beer, and believe me when I say, both me and my ‘beer belly’ know what a great beer tastes like! So I just wanted to let you know that besides the sunshine and beautiful weather, Boont Amber was a great reason to move from New England to the Bay Area. Happy Drinking! – Big Al

The Boont is my go to beer. I’ve tried them all. Otter Pond Pale Ale, Fat Tire Ale (what’s the big on that stuff?). Boont is like your dog or your best friend; always ther waiting for you to come back.

The Boont Amber Ale is simply the best beer I have ever tasted…. I just tried it for the first time randomly at a social gathering and by the end of the night everyone in our group was drinking it and commenting about the taste… even the normally non beer drinkers like myself.

Boont Ale is some of the best beer my wife and I have ever tasted. We tasted it first in Fort Bragg, CA, after having some of the beers from one of their local breweries. Their beers were good; Boont was GREAT. I don’t know if or how we’ll be able to get Boont in Illinois, or send it to our relatives, but you have definitely set a new benchmark in smooth beer. Good job!!!

I love micro brewery beers. Its exciting finding a new product on the shelves that I haven’t seen before. When I saw the name Boont I just had to try it. With a name like Boont it just has to be good! It has to be one of the finest, most drinkable brews I’ve tried in years. I just hope I can find more – because everyone who I have offered it to feels the same way!

This has literally become my favorite beer. When I find this on tap, my day certainly brightens. I can find it at most grocery stores up here in Humboldt, which definitely saves me a few trips. Excellent beer, smooth with a robust bight as well. This blows any other beer out of the water!

The beer gods have smiled on the Hudson Valley! After missing this beautiful beer for too long since moving away from the Bay Area, I have finally discovered a local distributor. An old flame rekindled. I like to pour a glass and just look at it for while, admiring the beautiful, rich color. But I can hold out only so long and quickly drain the glass.
