I tried this beer while on vacation in San Fransisco. Let’s just say that I’ve been obsessed with it since. I’m littetally fanatical about it and can die a happy man if this is the only beer I ever have again. I was devastated when I discovered that it can be found nowhere in Texas. Every beer I’ve had since that moment has felt dissapointing and unsatisfying since that first sip of Barney Flats OS. No beer has had this effect on me. I have no critique, it is just perfect! I am extremely pleased that as of yesterday, Barney Flats is coming to Texas via Whole Foods in Dallas! After much hounding and many phone calls I finally got a hold of the right person. I’m snatching up as many as I can once it arrives!

12 years ago I came to Boonville and visited the brewery. I ask for a dark beer and was served Oatmeal Stout. I liked the great robust flavor and every chance I see it in the store I purchase at least 2 six packs. Keep producing this great beer. It is the very best oatmeal stout beer on the market.

Well lets start of by sayin its a sin not to sell this beer in a 12 pack.Me an my father inlaw have tasted every beer under the sun.By far this one takes the cake an im considered a fat kid cause i love me some oatmeal stout i meen cake.So 12 packs an kegs. Oya an tell bev mo to stock more. me an my father inlaw keep clearin the shelf.Keep up the good work boys.

I purchased this beer last night at my local craft brew store as I am drawn towards stouts. I didn’t know what to expect when I picked up a 6-pack. I cracked one open after dinner and I have to say this is a tasty beer, of the few stouts I’ve tried I enjoy this one the best. Very smooth, not bitter and very drinkable. Excellent beer, I will be buying again.

I am a stout drinker first and fore most by choice. Watney’s cream stout was my first love. After it became extinct in NA I searched years for an equal. Only two years ago I came across a close replacement in St.Peters cream stout. Not quite as enjoyable as the WCS was but I was stoked to find one I could enjoy not just like.
Then six month’s ago at a select spirits only store in Tyngsboro (sp?) MA I was shelf shopping and came across the BF OS. Familiar with AVBC but clueless to this beer. Until now. If I am lucky enough to get this fresh it has won my heart. And taste buds. It maintains a rich head that produces more aroma and flavor then the afermentioned two.
Keep up the good work and I will continue to support you regularly!
What would really make me happy is if you’d load this in a mini 5L keg to fit my krups tap. Know that would be heaven sent!

I joined a beer club recently with 5 other guys. We each got 4 beers from 19 different cases. The first one I tried was the Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout. It was without a doubt the best. I will be going to get another case real soon.

Out of all the beers, ales and stouts at Alefest 09 San antonio, I think the Oatmeal Stout won my heart over. Just wish I can have me one now :)

I just put a 13 gal. keg of this great nectar in my kegerator and am enjoying it after a hard days work as I watch hockey and on the weekends of course. Thanks for a great beer.

I bought this beer by default…it was default of my local liquor store, they never told me about this wonderfull brew. Barney Flatts is by far the best Stout I have ever tasted. This stout kills any Taddy Caster or Oatmeal themed Stout out there. Wonderfull smoothness, roasty flavor and pure sweetwater make the finish very pleasing, leaving you with the need to go right back to the liquor store and by another one. This beer is wonderfull, please don’t change a thing.
