AVBC ONCE AGAIN TAKES A PIKE TO THE DEEP END
February 15, 2010 Boonville, CA – Anderson Valley Brewing Company is proud to announce the release of its award-winning Deep Enders Dark Porter beer It will be available in draught and 22 ounce packages. This limited production, special seasonal ale was originally brewed and released in the fall but starting in 2009 is now being released in February. What was once a dying beer style in England has been revived as an American classic. The Deep End is the Boontling name for Navarro – a town in the Anderson Valley, deep in the dark redwoods. Inspired by its namesake, Deep Enders Dark Porter is a full-bodied porter with a rich creamy head, delicious chocolaty aftertaste and a roasted coffee character. A pleasantly bitter brew, Deep Enders is excellent with oysters and other shellfish, smoked duck, and Chateaubriand, as well as your favorite chocolate desserts or with full-flavored meals and spicy dishes.
As with all AVBC products, Deep Enders Dark Porter is never sterile filtered nor heat pasteurized, and should be stored in refrigeration. However, to fully enjoy its rich and complex flavor, it should be served between 40° and 45°F. AVBC Releases New Anniversary Imperial IPA
February 1, 2010 Boonville, CA – Anderson Valley Brewing Company (“AVBC”) announces the release of its Anniversary Imperial IPA.
Originally created to celebrate the brewery’s 20th anniversary in 2007, this limited release, special brew, with its intense and complex flavors, is the proud result of decades of great beer-making, and comes in bottles printed with a unique, colorful sunrise label.
This 8.7% ABV, extremely hopped beer has been a cult favorite for those with extreme tastes, yet more balanced sensibilities. AVBC Director of Brewing Operations, David Gatlin says “This Imperial IPA is balanced and possesses a high degree of drinkability. Possibly too high.” The Anniversary Imperial IPA will be available for very limited release February 1, 2010 in 22oz. bottles and draft. It is the beer that the late William Brand declared “Damn, it was a mind blower. The kind of beer that made California craft beer famous.”
